Term 1
‘I’m a School Kid Now!’.
In ICT the Preps drew their families.
In Term One the learning focus is on settling into school. To support this our theme is “I’m a School Kid Now”.
Early in the term students compare similarities and differences within families and the roles and responsibilities fo family members. These understandings are widened to include the student’s role as a friend and learner and the rights and responsibilities of all school community members.
Over the Term children come to understand:

learning can happen anywhere,

learners have strengths and improvement areas,

the ways learners behave make learning more successful and

we can help each other learn by having a positive learning environment.
